“CJ Donofrio is a different sort of pastor.  He is known by his friends and parishioners for having a warm and friendly way about him, but he has had an extraordinary life.  In the early 1980s, he was a punk rock musician and recording artist.  His interests turned to politics as he entered college. For several years, he worked as a Political Consultant in management.  

After facing ethical struggle and fatigue, he started to study theology on his own and set His sights on the ministry. As a High School drop out, CJ managed to complete a Bachelors Degree at a California liberal arts college and then a Master’s of Divinity degree at one of the leading seminaries in America while maintaining an active social life, playing rugby and working as an on air radio personality.


In 2003, his wife left him due to a severe illness.  He had to start over, but found that he had no problem attracting women with his warmth and charm - just the wrong sort of women.

This led him on a quest to learn more about what he was doing right and wrong.  He was done with being manipulated with drama and neediness and was determined to “figure it out.”


One day while attending a seminar in San Francisco, CJ met a guy who happened to be like the main character “Hitch” from the movie of the same name, teaching men how to be more attractive.  He was introduced to an underground world of pick-up artists and seducers.  Their learning fascinated him, "they are very scientific in their approach," says CJ.


CJ got to know many of the leading "Date Doctors."  They shared their learning with him and he shared Jesus with them.  They found it interesting to have a Pastor in their midst who would hang out with them.  CJ would go out and meet ladies with them, but take them out on dates, but not home for one-night stands.  Their respect for him grew and some of them have since expressed a faith in Christ.


CJ began teaching men who were hungry for a relationship leading to marriage what he had learned but clearly from a Christian perspective.


Men all over have been grateful that he went into a dark world with the light of Christ, and yet learned many things that they needed to know.  His learning far exceeded many in “the community” as he studied inter-gender dynamics, the biochemistry of attraction, and social psychology.


“ATTRACTION” is the culmination of thousands of hours in study and in field-testing.  It is a complete guide and yet CJ always has more to add.

CJ is always ready to proclaim that he is a pastor and theologian first and a student of attraction and social arts second.

Do the methods in “ATTRACTION” work?  CJ seems to think so as he married a beautiful, sweet and “sexy” lady in the Summer of 2007.
